Feb 26- Prompt: Reflect on the simile and metaphor worksheet. Which topic challenged you the most when creating your figurative language, and why? In your response, explain what made that topic difficult and how you worked through the challenge (or what you might do differently next time).

Response- I don't know why, but metaphors are always harder for me to come up with then similes. Feb 24- Prompt: Today you created similes and metaphors that reflect your struggles, growth, and resilience. In a well-developed paragraph, reflect on the process. What did you learn about yourself while writing your figurative language?

Responses- While doing the assignment, I found out creative ways to describe myself and my experiences through similes and metaphors. For example one of the smilies I wrote was "People criticize me before knowing me, just like judging a book by its cover.". This one I find really relatable because it happens to me a lot. Most people I don't even know assume the worst of me or believe random rumors about me before even talking to me. But in other metaphors I wrote it reminded me of times I improved in certain things. Summary- Writing similes and metaphors helped me understand myself better. Reflection- In class we created our own 12 metaphors and similes.
